On the anniversary of the Russian attack on their country, about 3000 Ukrainians and British supporters marched through Notting Hill Gate, London, to the Russian Embassy to protest at the cowardice and brutality of the invasion.
Led by children carrying flags they sang Ukrainian songs, and chanted “Russia is a Terrorist State” as they slowly made their way though the Friday evening crowds to a rally outside the embassy.
There they sang their national anthem and listened to speakers condemning the aggression of the Russian state and the killing of civilians, children and old people. “They think they can get away with it”, said one speaker, “as they are too weak on the battlefield”.
